Young Managers

The Young Managers Forum is an important initiative for the industry, these are our senior managers of the future, they recognise the need for innovation and evolution within our sector. They meet regularly to propagate ideas and to champion initiatives that will affect the industry into the future.

They now have their own website please look at www.youngmanagers.org.uk

This year they have recognised the need to get more graduates into the industry - otherwise we will have a severe shortage of skilled and trained FM's in the next decade.

They have produced a highly motivational video, to try and influence students into our industy. Click here to view the full video.

Another important initiative takes place annually in association with the P&FM Partnership Awards, when the FMA recognises the Young Manager of the Year. The prestigious award this year was won by Beth Flood of MacLellan (pictured above right). 2004's Young Manager award winner Vickie Rennie of Interserve FM - is shown, right, with the then FMA Chairman Gareth Hollyman.

The PFM Annual Awards Dinner is one of the high spots of the FM social calendar and FMA has been pleased to present the Young Manager Award for the last twelve years. The excellence of all cadidates directly led to the formation of the Young Managers Forum initially comprising all the past finalists. The Lord Mackenzie of Framwellgate launched the Forum in May 2004.
