The Facilities Management Association (FMA), the sole representative body of the Facilities Management industry, is pleased to announce that it is to start formally endorsing member internal and external training schemes and courses. The aim is to promote and acknowledge excellence and thereby drive rigorous and developing standards in the industry.
Chris Hoar, Chief Executive of the FMA, commented:
“An endorsement from the FMA will lend a third party mark of quality to a training course which will provided an added level of security to companies looking at engaging a training partner or to potential or existing employees looking at the support and emphasis that a company puts on internal training.
“The facilities management industry continues to grow in size and complexity and this, coupled with increased levels of legislation and compliance obligations, is placing increased emphasis on the provision of relevant and high quality training courses. We believe that by formally endorsing our members’ efforts in providing courses of the highest standards this will help to ensure that this important and developing part of our industry delivers results and continues to be developed.”
