Infinity SDC announces facilities management partnership with Norland at Infinity Slough

Specialist data centre operator Infinity SDC has announced a strategic partnership with Norland, one of the UK’s fastest growing facilities management companies, to maintain critical infrastructure and operational systems at Infinity’s purpose-built data centre facility in Slough.

Norland bring a unique set of skills and are specialists in providing critical risk management services, maintenance and ICT services. Infinity SDC and Norland have signed a three year partnership that will see Norland’s skilled engineers situated on-site all year round at Infinity Slough.

The partnership will provide a responsive and cost-effective service for customers at Infinity Slough, ensuring zero downtime and allowing Infinity to offer customers additional benefits matched with extremely competitive rates. This collaboration follows other partnerships already underway at Infinity’s sites in Romford and Stockley Park.

Infinity Slough is a state of the art facility that provides 100,000 sq ft of technical space supported by 34MWA of power. The development is the latest in the company’s strategy to provide resilient and efficient infrastructure to the flourishing digital and ICT sectors around London.

Commenting, Stuart Sutton, CEO at Infinity SDC, said:
“Norland has vast experience of managing data centre facilities and importantly understanding the critical importance of zero downtime in these environments. They have consistently provided a reliable, efficient and fully resilient service, and they have an impressive track record of managing infrastructure at a number of our other data centres.

“I’m pleased to be able to announce the extension of this partnership at Infinity Slough, which adds further strength to our offer to tenants. Our latest data centre facility is purpose-built and ready for customers. It extends our operational capacity and the range of data centre solutions we can offer to the market.”

Tony Smith, Managing Director of Norland’s Critical Environment Services, added:
“We’re delighted to work as a strategic partner to Infinity and in particular to be involved with the new data centre in Slough. We look forward to supporting high-availability, fully resilient data-centre capacity in the all-important M4 corridor.”
