Halliburton select Norland for integrated facilities management
Norland, one of the UK’s fastest-growing facilities management companies, announced today that it will provide a single-source suite of facilities management services across fourteen
sites for Halliburton – one of the world’s largest suppliers to the oil and gas industry.
Norland will provide planned and reactive maintenance for mechanical and electrical systems and building fabric. The contract also includes grounds, security, cleaning, catering, front-of-house duties, space management, moves and changes, pest control and associated project works. All services are supported by a 24/7/365 emergency call out service. Norland’s managed services capability is a ‘best-in-class’ service whether that be self-delivered or via its carefully selected partners. This flexible model gives customers choice even down to which supply partners they work with. That way the customer stays in control and gets to swap out any part of the contract if they feel it is underperforming.
Norland completed a phased migration of existing services and successfully mobilised the contract within six weeks in time for its go-live date and without any interruption to the business and the service it received. This included TUPE transferring resident engineers to Norland and the catering, cleaning and security staff to our best in class suppliers.
Sean Jones, Head of Facilities Management for UK and Scandinavia for Halliburton said: ”Norland are able to support us with their national coverage and strong focus on simple but effective processes. We selected Norland because we needed local delivery but consistently high standards at all our sites, especially around all aspects of safety. We are excited about the innovations Norland will bring to this contract to drive efficiency whilst maintaining or improving service”.
Seamless integration of Norland’s computer-aided facilities management (CAFM) application with Halliburton’s own management information systems means usable information will be readily available throughout the contract. This IT platform works in conjunction with the helpdesk, engineers’ handsets and online portals to orchestrate the entire account. Brian Lynch, Norland’s Scottish Business Unit Director said: “Scalability and flexibility were key for Halliburton in this contract. We’ve developed the service so that we can vary the delivery specification throughout the life of the contract in line with the needs of the business. Our network of regional teams will be providing a local and consistent service”.
Norland’s membership of ECSynergy – an international facilities management consortium -means Norland will be able to meet Halliburton’s needs for better value and new efficiencies across its international sites. Halliburton will benefit from a Norland energy champion who will work to identify energy savings and environmental options throughout the estate.
